OPEN CALL : Group Exhibition “HOME” 

  • Open to all artists over the age of 16 working in any 2D medium

  • Prize: Participation in the Green Door Gallery Winter Group Exhibition 2023
    Gallery exhibition: 14 December 2023 - 7 January 2024.
    Online exhibition: 4 December 2023 - 7 January 2024

Application process
This is an online application process. Artist may submit up to 3 artworks for consideration by the selection jury.

First or single entry price €25
€10 for each additional artwork to a maximum of 3.

Image Uploads

  • Image files should be JPG or PNG

  • Please ensure an image resolution of at least 300dpi.

  • Maximum file size is 5mB

 

Eligibility

  • The theme for the exhibition is “HOME”.

  • Submissions are invited from visual artists over the age of 16 working in any 2D medium. 

  • Only original artworks are accepted, artworks can not be substituted once selected. The Green Door Gallery reserves the right to reject work that they believe may be in breach of copyright.

  • There is a non-returnable participation fee of €25 per submission.

  • Artists may apply more than once.

  • All submitted artworks to be available for sale during the exhibition.


Restrictions
All entries must be less than 80cm in any one direction including frame. The overall size of diptychs, triptychs, etc. must adhere to this maximum size limit. There is no minimum size limit.

Communications
All communication will be by email. Selected artists will be notified by email and must respond within one week to confirm participation. Failure to do so could result in work being withdrawn from the exhibition. 

Selection

  • The selection jury will select the works for the exhibition. The jury members will consider all correctly completed submissions.

  • The decision of the jury on all matters is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

  • Work that has been selected for exhibition may not be substituted.

  • Selected artists will be contacted individually by email. Artists should respond within one week of their selection to confirm their participation in the exhibition.
     

Exhibition pricing
Work selected for exhibition will be for sale during the exhibition. The gallery charges a commission fee of 30% on all sales. All sales are conducted through the gallery for the duration of the exhibition. The sale price includes the gallery commission and VAT. Please consider this when setting the sale price for your artwork. Artists are responsible for their own tax obligations.
 

Insurance
Artists are responsible for insuring their own work. All works accepted for exhibition will be displayed entirely at the artists' risk and organisers and the gallery will not accept liability for loss or damage occurring during the exhibition.

Delivery and collection of work
Artists are responsible for the delivery and collection of their work at the Gallery. 
All packaging materials must be removed upon delivery (no storage space is available for this) and brought back at collection. If you are applying from overseas please consider how you will get your work to and from the exhibition at the required times.

  • 25 - 29/11/2023 Delivery of selected works to the Green Door Gallery

  • 14/12/2023 to  07/01/2024 gallery exhibition

  • 04/12/2023 - 07/01/2024 online exhibition 

  • 08/01/2024 Collection of unsold works from the Green Door Gallery
