"I've always loved to travel. I've always loved literature, poems and stories. My paintings are about assimilating memories, experiences and feelings merging into the act of painting. In search of an individual language I mix different techniques to create a vivid and vibrating surface, transforming the motives into abstract art work. I don’t want to simply illustrate but to catch a certain atmosphere, a feeling that the motives evoke.
The powerful application of the oil paint and the contrasting colours give depth and dynamic.
Water colours and pastels are a further exciting way to combine painting and drawing, structure and colour to an abstract composition, more subtle though and lighter in appearance, to capture a moment. "
