Laura Davis is a text-based artist and poet. Her latest publication (2022) is a book of poems entitled Found & Lost which forms the backdrop for this exhibition.
Her poetry has also recently appeared in Ink, Sweat and Tears, Live Canon Anthology 2020, Seen as Read, 3:am Magazine, The Book of Penteract, Harpy Hybrid Review, and is forthcoming in Mercurius Magazine.
Laura incorporates handmade and found materials and an array of techniques including weaving, embroidery and painting to bring forth the physical manifestation of her poetry.
Her artwork is intricate and multi-layered, but above all, beautiful.
Laura lives in Mechelen and has recently returned to Belgium after a decade living and working in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Jerusalem and Uganda.
